Comparison

CliniCore vs Digitail

Of every product we compare ourselves against, Digitail is the one whose AI is aimed at the same problem as ours. We are not going to pretend that gap is wider than it is. What separates us is India — GST invoicing, WhatsApp, and a price you can read without booking a call.

No credit card, no demo call required. Migration from a spreadsheet or another system is free — see how switching works.

Read this page if

  • You practise in India and cannot find GST or WhatsApp anywhere in Digitail's material
  • You want a rupee price on a page, not a quote after a demo
  • You want charge capture that runs at end of day whether or not anyone opened the invoice screen
  • Your owners will not download a pet-parent app and you would rather meet them on WhatsApp
  • You are a one-to-four vet practice and the quotes you are getting are priced per user

What Digitail gets right

Digitail has built the most serious AI layer in this category and we would rather say that plainly than have you discover it in a demo. Tails AI is not one feature — their own description is “20+ AI workflows” across three roles: a client-facing concierge that handles triage, booking, refills and intake forms; a clinical layer that does voice dictation, record verification and summaries; and a practice-manager layer covering analytics, inventory and commission structures.

Most importantly for anyone reading this page: they ship Voice to Invoice, marketed as “never miss a charge and create the invoice with your voice.” It analyses the SOAP note once it syncs to the record and populates the plan and invoicing screens with recommended products and services, factoring in breed, age, medical history and allergies. That is the same problem CliniCore's revenue scan attacks. Anyone who tells you Digitail is a scribe-only product is working from stale information.

They also do onboarding properly — in-house, expert-led data migration and 1:1 onboarding tailored to the clinic's workflows, with 24/7 chat and email support, and a one-month free trial on the AI features inside paid plans. Their pet-parent app is real and well-regarded, and we do not have one.

A tick means the vendor states the capability is included. “Not published” means we looked and found no public statement — not that it is missing.

Where our mechanism actually differs — and where it does not

The lazy version of this page would claim CliniCore is the only product whose AI reads the clinical note for missed charges. That claim is false, and you would find out in Digitail's demo, at which point nothing else on this page would be worth reading. So here is the real distinction, which is narrower and more useful.

Digitail's Voice to Invoice works forward from the note. You dictate, the note syncs, and the system analyses it to populate the plan section and offer a dropdown of recommended products and services while the invoice is being built. It is a very good design for the moment when somebody is building an invoice.

CliniCore's revenue scan works backward from the invoice. It runs at end of day, takes what was billed, and compares it against the clinical note, the prescriptions dispensed and the labs ordered. What it produces is not a suggestion list but a difference list: these specific things happened today and are not on any invoice.

That difference matters in one situation, and it is a common one. A suggestion offered at invoicing time only helps if somebody is at the invoicing screen, working through it, on that patient, that day. In a busy OPD the invoice is often closed fast on the consult fee alone and never reopened. A reconciliation that runs on a schedule does not depend on anyone's attention at the busiest moment of the day. It also sees the prescription your pharmacy counter dispensed and the lab your technician ran, which a note-derived suggestion does not.

Is that a decisive advantage? Honestly, not on its own. It is a real design difference and we think it is the right one, but if charge capture were the only axis, Digitail would be a perfectly rational choice and we would not have much of an argument.

The argument is India

We read Digitail's pricing page, their Tails AI page and their Voice-to-Invoice announcement on 1 September 2026 and found no mention of GST, no mention of WhatsApp, and no rupee pricing. Their AI concierge makes follow-up calls and handles intake forms; their client experience is anchored on a pet-parent app.

That is a coherent product for the markets it was built for. In India it means two structural mismatches. GST invoicing is not a report you can generate later — it is the invoice itself, with the right fields, the right codes and tax computed on the post-discount base. And the pet-parent app assumes an owner who will install an app for their vet. Some will. Most, in our experience of this market, will read a WhatsApp message in four minutes and never open an app twice.

CliniCore sends prescriptions, invoices, vaccination reminders and the end-of-day owner report over WhatsApp, with per-message delivery status you can see, included in the plan fee and never metered. That is not a cleverer idea than a pet-parent app. It is the same idea, routed through the channel Indian pet owners already live in.

What a Digitail quote costs you to find out

Digitail names four tiers — Mobile, Growth, Growth AI and Enterprise — and publishes no figure against any of them. The route to a number is a demo. Capterra's third-party listing puts the starting price at $289 per month per user, which is a useful anchor but is not Digitail's own published statement and should be treated as such.

If that per-user figure is close to right, the arithmetic gets uncomfortable fast for a small Indian practice: three users on a per-seat model is a different order of monthly cost than CliniCore's ₹3,499 flat for the Revenue plan, which includes AI and does not count heads.

We publish every tier, in six currencies, on the pricing page, and the trial gives you the whole product for fourteen days without a card. You can conclude we are wrong for you without ever speaking to us. We would rather lose that way than win a demo you only booked to find out the price.

When you should buy Digitail

If you practise outside India, want the deepest AI stack in the category, and value an AI concierge that answers the phone and books appointments, Digitail is a better fit than we are and it is not close. Their concierge layer is a genuinely different product from anything we offer.

If your clients will use a pet-parent app, buy Digitail. We do not have one.

If you want expert-led migration with a human doing the work rather than a wizard doing it for you, that is their model and it is a good one. Ours is self-serve first, with hands-on help on the Hospital plan. Neither is better in the abstract; they suit different appetites for control.

Quote after a demo

  • Four tiers named — Mobile, Growth, Growth AI, Enterprise — with no figures on the pricing page
  • Capterra, a third party, lists a starting price of $289 per month per user
  • Includes in-house data migration, 1:1 onboarding and 24/7 chat/email support
  • No India-specific or rupee pricing published

Trial: One month free on the Tails AI Scribe and AI Assistant features within paid plans; a demo is the published route to pricing.

Digitail figures read from digitail.com on 1 September 2026; the $289 figure is Capterra's listing, not Digitail's own publication.

CliniCore prices are our own published list prices. Digitail figures are only what Digitail publishes publicly, read on 1 September 2026; where nothing is published, we say so rather than estimate.

Questions people ask before switching

Does Digitail already do what CliniCore's revenue capture does?
Close to it, yes — and we would rather tell you here than have you find out in their demo. Digitail's Voice to Invoice analyses the synced SOAP note and recommends products and services when the invoice is built. The design difference is timing and coverage: theirs suggests lines while someone is building an invoice; ours reconciles at end of day across the note, prescriptions and labs, whether or not anyone opened the invoice screen. If charge capture is your only criterion, Digitail is a legitimate choice.
Does Digitail support GST invoicing or WhatsApp?
Nothing they publish says so. We checked their pricing, Tails AI and Voice-to-Invoice pages on 1 September 2026 and found no mention of GST, WhatsApp or rupee pricing. If you practise in India, ask them directly before anything else — it is the question that decides this comparison.
What does Digitail cost?
They do not publish it. They name four tiers and route pricing through a demo. Capterra lists a starting price of $289 per month per user, which is a third-party figure rather than Digitail's own statement. CliniCore's tiers are published in six currencies and are flat per clinic, not per user.
Digitail has a pet-parent app and you do not. Does that matter?
It might, and only you can judge. Our bet is that in India the owner is already on WhatsApp and will not keep a second app for their vet, so we put prescriptions, invoices and reminders there instead. That is a bet about this market, not a claim that apps are bad. If your clients would install one, that is a real advantage for Digitail.
Can I move data from Digitail to CliniCore?
If you can export owners, pets, medicines and vaccinations to Excel or CSV, the import wizard handles it free and self-serve. Ask Digitail about export terms before you sign with anyone — that is a question worth asking every vendor, including us, and our answer is that your data exports on demand.
