Comparison
CliniCore vs VETport
VETport has more features than we do and a decade more history. What it does not have, as far as anything it publishes shows, is GST invoicing, WhatsApp, a rupee price, or an AI that looks at your invoices. If you practise in India, those four gaps are the comparison.
No credit card, no demo call required. Migration from a spreadsheet or another system is free — see how switching works.
Read this page if
- ✓You are evaluating VETport from India and cannot find an India-specific price or GST feature
- ✓Your owners live on WhatsApp and you do not want to route reminders through email or SMS
- ✓You want to see a number before scheduling a call
- ✓You like the idea of an AI scribe but want it wired into billing, not sitting beside it
- ✓You are a one-to-three vet clinic and suspect you are being sold a system built for larger practices
What VETport gets right
VETport is a broad, mature, cloud PIMS and it has surface area CliniCore does not come close to. Their published feature list includes telemedicine, online appointment booking, a self check-in kiosk, wellness plans, a task manager, internal chat and bulletin boards, multiple time zones, lab integrations, several payment gateways and a marketplace they describe as 30+ integrations. If your requirement list is long and specific, VETport is more likely to satisfy it line by line than we are.
They also now ship an AI scribe, which an older read of their site would have missed. It is called Coggo, and their own framing is honest about what it is: “Coggo is an AI scribe, not a practice-management system. You keep VETport for running your clinic and add Coggo to remove the time spent writing notes.” They claim a structured SOAP note in about twenty seconds, with vitals captured from voice, free to start and paid plans for unlimited notes.
And they have been doing this for a long time, with a real support organisation and a global customer base. We have neither. If longevity is the thing you are buying, buy longevity — that is a legitimate reason to choose a vendor and we are not going to argue you out of it.
CliniCore vs VETport, feature by feature
A tick means the vendor states the capability is included. “Not published” means we looked and found no public statement — not that it is missing.

India is a phone number on their site, not a product decision
VETport lists an India contact number — +91 809-526-2222 — so they clearly sell here. What we could not find anywhere on their site, on 1 September 2026, is any mention of GST, of WhatsApp, or of a rupee price.
That is not laziness on their part. It is what happens when a product is built for a global median customer: you support the compliance and communication norms of your largest markets and you leave the rest to local workarounds. For an Indian clinic the workarounds are not small. GST invoicing is not a formatting preference, it is a legal requirement with specific fields, HSN/SAC codes and tax-on-post-discount rules. WhatsApp is not a channel preference, it is the channel — the owner who ignores your SMS will reply to your WhatsApp in four minutes.
CliniCore was built for that clinic first. GST-aware invoicing, prescriptions and invoices delivered on WhatsApp with delivery status you can see, prices quoted in rupees on a public page. None of that makes us the better product in the abstract. It makes us the product that does not need a workaround for the two things you do every single day.
An AI scribe beside your billing is not the same as one wired into it
Give VETport credit here: they saw the scribe wave and shipped, and the Coggo partnership means an Indian clinic on VETport can get voice-to-SOAP today. Their claim of a structured note in around twenty seconds is a good claim if it holds.
But look at where the note goes. Coggo's published job is to write the note and sync it back to the VETport record. Nothing VETport or Coggo publishes says anything about billing, charge capture, or comparing the note against the invoice. It is a documentation tool, honestly described as one.
That distinction is the whole reason CliniCore has a scribe at all. We did not build voice capture to save you typing, though it does. We built it because a rich clinical note is the only reliable evidence of what actually happened in the room, and evidence is what you need if software is going to tell you that the injection you gave at 11:40 never reached the invoice. Documentation is the input. Recovered revenue is the output. A scribe that stops at documentation has done half the job — usefully, but half.
Two products, two different-sized clinics
The feature matrix on this page will make VETport look like it wins, and on breadth it does. Telemedicine, kiosks, wellness plans, thirty-plus integrations and a task manager are real capabilities and we do not have them.
The question is whether you will use them. A two-vet clinic in Coimbatore seeing twenty-five patients a day does not need a self check-in kiosk or an internal bulletin board; it needs the consult to take twelve minutes instead of eighteen and the invoice to be right. Feature breadth in that setting stops being a benefit and becomes a training cost — more screens to learn, more fields to skip, more of the system quietly unused.
We would rather be narrow and finished than broad and half-adopted. If you run a referral hospital with a lab, a telemedicine line and a wellness-plan programme, that preference is wrong for you and VETport is the better fit. If you run a busy general practice, it is worth asking your VETport salesperson which of those thirty integrations you will still be using in a year.
Checking us both, properly
We are pre-first-customer and have no independent reviews to point you at. VETport has years of them on Capterra, SoftwareAdvice and G2. Go and read them — all of them, not the ones a vendor would quote at you — and weigh the support and reliability comments against how much support you expect to need. We are not going to summarise them here, because a competitor picking which reviews you see is not evidence, it is editing.
What we will say is what you can check about us in an afternoon without talking to anyone: the price is on the pricing page, the trial needs no card, and the import wizard is in the product rather than in a statement of work.

Questions people ask before switching
- Does VETport support GST invoicing for Indian clinics?
- Nothing on their site says so, as of 1 September 2026 — we checked the homepage, features and pricing pages and found no mention of GST. They do list an India phone number, so it is a fair question to put to their sales team directly. CliniCore's invoicing is GST-aware, including tax calculated on the post-discount base.
- Does VETport do WhatsApp?
- Not that they publish. Their client-communication and reminder features are marketed without naming WhatsApp anywhere we could find. CliniCore sends prescriptions, invoices and reminders over WhatsApp with per-message delivery status, included in every plan and never metered.
- VETport has an AI scribe now — how is CliniCore's different?
- VETport's is Coggo, a partner product they are clear is separate: you keep VETport for running the clinic and add Coggo for the notes. It writes the SOAP note and syncs it back. CliniCore's scribe feeds the daily revenue scan — the note is compared against the invoice, and unbilled work is surfaced before the day closes. Same input, different destination.
- What does VETport cost?
- They do not publish it. Their pricing page routes to a quote request, and pricing is described as depending on practice size, location and number of veterinarians. CliniCore's list prices are public and start at ₹1,999 a month in India.
- Is CliniCore too small a company to bet on?
- That is a fair concern and we will not talk you out of it. We are early and pre-first-customer. What we can offer against it is that your data is exportable, the trial costs nothing, and the migration in was free — so the cost of being wrong about us is a couple of weeks, not a contract.
