Comparison

CliniCore vs ezyVet

ezyVet is a strong product and we are not going to pretend it is not. It is also built for a bigger, more complex practice than most of the clinics we serve, and priced accordingly: $260.50 a month to start, with implementation scoped separately. CliniCore starts at $49, or ₹1,999 in India, with migration included.

No credit card, no demo call required. Migration from a spreadsheet or another system is free — see how switching works.

Read this page if

  • You have an ezyVet quote in front of you and are trying to work out what the implementation line will actually be
  • You are a one-to-four vet general practice being sold a system designed for referral hospitals
  • You practise in India and need GST invoicing and WhatsApp, neither of which ezyVet publishes
  • You want the software to catch missed charges, not just record them accurately
  • You want to trial the product before a scoping call rather than after

What ezyVet gets right

ezyVet is one of the genuinely well-built products in this category, and it publishes its starting price — “Get started for as little as $260.50 per month” — which puts it ahead of most of the field on transparency. Two of the other vendors on our comparison pages publish nothing at all.

Their breadth is real and it is aimed somewhere specific. They market tailored solutions for general practice, emergency, specialty, equine, corporate groups, universities, production animal and mobile veterinarians. That is a product that has absorbed the requirements of large, multi-modality operations over many years, and it shows in the depth of workflow configuration you get.

They also do the unglamorous part properly. Their published monthly price includes 24/7 support, hosting and every feature upgrade as it ships, and they run dedicated implementation and conversion teams rather than leaving you to import your own history. For a fifteen-vet hospital with a lab, an ICU and three revenue streams, that is exactly the right shape of vendor and we would not try to talk you out of it.

A tick means the vendor states the capability is included. “Not published” means we looked and found no public statement — not that it is missing.

The price gap is a segment gap, not a rip-off

ezyVet publishes $260.50 a month as a starting point. CliniCore's US pricing starts at $49 and tops out at $199; in India it is ₹1,999 to ₹4,999. We are comparing in dollars on both sides here on purpose, because converting their figure into rupees would bake a moving exchange rate into a page that will sit still for months.

It would be easy and dishonest to present that gap as ezyVet overcharging. It is not. It is what happens when a product is built to satisfy an emergency hospital, a university teaching practice and a corporate group with equal seriousness. That capability costs money to build, costs money to support, and is worth paying for if you need it.

The question worth asking is not whether ezyVet is expensive. It is whether you are buying the practice type they priced for. A two-vet general practice running vaccinations, consults, a small pharmacy and a lot of WhatsApp is not the customer that specification was written for, and paying for the specialty and production-animal workflows you will never open is a real cost, every month, forever.

The line that is not in the monthly price

Their pricing FAQ is straightforward about this and we will quote it rather than characterise it: “Our monthly pricing includes 24/7 support, data hosting on top-security servers, upgrades to all the latest functionality and features as they are released. Monthly pricing does not include our implementation.” Elsewhere on the same page, implementation and data conversion are described as scoped to the size and structure of your clinic.

That is a normal enterprise software arrangement and there is nothing underhanded about it. It does mean the number you compare against ours is not the number on the pricing page, and you will not know the real one until a scoping conversation has happened. Ask for the implementation figure in writing, early, before you have emotionally committed to the product — that is good advice about every vendor in this category, us included.

CliniCore has no implementation line. The import wizard is in the product on every plan: you upload an Excel or CSV of owners, pets, medicines and vaccinations, it maps the columns and validates row by row. Hospital-plan customers get a human helping. Nobody gets an invoice for it. We can afford that stance precisely because we are not doing bespoke configuration for an ICU.

Accurate records and recovered revenue are different products

ezyVet's job, done well, is that everything which happens in your practice is recorded correctly and invoiced correctly. That is a real and hard job, and the reporting layer on top of it is good.

But recording correctly still assumes the record was made. The charge that leaks is not the one entered wrong; it is the one never entered at all — the injection given while the owner held the dog, the second bandage change, the sample drawn and sent. No amount of reporting depth surfaces a line item that does not exist.

CliniCore's revenue scan runs the other way round. It reads the clinical note, the labs and the prescriptions, compares them to what is on the invoice, and lists the gaps before end of day. It only works because the scribe made a rich note first, which is why we ship both together rather than selling them as separate ideas. As of 1 September 2026 ezyVet publishes no AI scribe and no charge-capture claim; if that has changed since, tell us and we will update this page.

If you practise in India

We looked across ezyVet's homepage and pricing page and found no mention of GST, no mention of WhatsApp, and no rupee pricing. That is unsurprising for a product whose centre of gravity is Australasia, North America and the UK, and it is not a criticism of the product they set out to build.

It is, however, decisive if you practise here. GST invoicing is a legal requirement with a specific shape, not a template you can approximate. WhatsApp is where your clients actually read things. A practice-management system that handles neither natively means someone in your clinic handles both manually, every day, forever — and that person's time is the hidden cost that never appears in any vendor comparison.

Questions people ask before switching

How much does ezyVet actually cost?
They publish a starting figure of $260.50 a month, which is more transparency than most of this category offers. What is not published is the implementation cost, which their FAQ states is excluded from the monthly price and scoped to the size and structure of your clinic. Ask for that number in writing before you compare vendors, because it is the part that varies most.
Is ezyVet better than CliniCore?
For a large or multi-modality practice — emergency, specialty, equine, production animal, a corporate group, a university — almost certainly yes, and we would tell you so on a call. They have depth in those workflows that we do not have and are not building. For a one-to-four vet general practice, especially in India, the calculation is different: you would be paying for depth you will not open, and going without GST invoicing and WhatsApp.
Does ezyVet have an AI scribe?
Not that they publish, as of 1 September 2026 — we found no AI scribe or charge-capture feature marketed on their site. CliniCore includes an AI scribe from the Revenue plan up, and feeds its output into the daily unbilled-work scan.
Can I move my data from ezyVet to CliniCore?
If you can export owners, pets, medicines and vaccinations to Excel or CSV, the import wizard handles it, free and self-serve. Complex clinical histories are worth a conversation first — we would rather tell you a case is messy up front than discover it mid-migration.
Why is CliniCore so much cheaper?
Because it does less, deliberately, and because it was built after the expensive parts of this problem became cheap. We have no specialty or production-animal workflows, no telemedicine, no equine module. We spent the effort on GST, WhatsApp and reading the clinical note for missed charges. If the things we skipped matter to your practice, the price difference is not a saving.
